While in the midst of all the exam preparations, a piece of good news came pipping hot straight from HQ today.
9th Singapore Company clinched GOLD HONOUR ROLL for the recent Character Quest 2008!
Being in the Gold honour roll indirectly means that we are the top 18 teams of the CQ2008!
Thank You(s) really goes to GOD and all the boys involved in the 2 teams, you guys did a great job!
Boys involved were: Stanley Yin and Aloysius Liao(team leaders), Say Ian, Don, Jian Zhong, Yi Jie, Samuel, Arnold, Royston and Bryan Seah.
Special thanks will still be going to the officer I/C Mr Wong JY who has persevered and put in so much effort despite serving the nation at the same time!
Not forgetting to appreciate those who help out in the CQ in 1 way or another especially in doing the shields and Mr Lui who stands in to help out whenever Mr Wong JY is not around!
Since we can achieve top 18 this year, I'm sure if we put in more effort, we can achieve top 12 next year! :D

While all of you are in the midst of exam preparation, i came across this video which i thought is rather encouraging and inspirational.
For those who are already worn out by the coming EOY exams, i hope this video serve as something that will spur you to persevere till the end of the examination. It's a 10 minute video but i hope it may carry you far in life!
This video is about this guy call Rick Hoyt who had cerebral palsy since young which caused him to be "vegetable" for life.
The father, Dick Hoyt had never given him up when the doctor encouraged him to do so, and even carried Rick and finished hundreds of competitions for the past 20 odd years.
It is due to Rick's perseverance that brought him through college and eventually obtaining a degree.
Dick, the father's perseverance in bringing along Rick in all the different competitions was so admirable that it influenced millions of people in the world.
In the video, it shows that Rick did not give up due to his natural defect and he eventually got his degree. In our lives, we were all so blessed that we were all born "defect" free since young. If Rick can do it, what more can't we? It is ok that we face failures here and there, but most importantly is that we never give up and work even harder from there on! IF WE WORK HARD AND PUT IN CONSCIOUS EFFORT, I'M VERY SURE 1 DAY WE CAN TASTE THE FRUIT OF SUCCESS!
Anyway, the officers and primers would like to wish all the best for all your examination!
