| Monday, September 24, 2007 Above are some pictures taken at during the Drill competition 2007 It has really been a wonderful time, sharing our joy and burden together, drill competition has always been a event that brings the group together. Since the start of the drill competition practice, seeing the sec 2s and sec 3s forming the squad, it gives us the motivation to move on… having high hope. The training has been exhausting and strenuous but we continued to gather together and have more practice. At first, when the drill competition starts, we were all feeling nervous. We were the first to actually start the ball rolling. The atmosphere there was tense but somehow calming… we got to do the sequence rather smoothly. Its was a job well done “) Even though if we didn’t clinch any awards but let us not forget for the people who has done their part to guide us brought us together, thanking Mr Choong, Joshua Wei and for the people who are actively involve, Jun Guo, Adrian Soo, Norman, John, Ricardo, Shi Hong, Emmanuel, Austin, Don, Jonathan, Lay Guan, Aloysius, Teck Siang, Stanley Yin, Stanley Khor, Wai Liam, Zi Xing, Nan Sheng, Victor, Roystan, Texan, Chin Ming. I think prior to just make do with not getting any award, let's really reflect on why are we getting such results. I think first and most importantly is that we must really be consciencious about coming for practices.. I think the most basic thing about drill is to really practice together as 1, thus we cannot affort to have anyone not coming for practices. I seriously think that its not that we can't, just how much we are willing to give in. Anyway, really appreciate those who came for all the practices faithfully and remember that there is always a next year! Its really a blessing of God to bring us together and go through this part and parcel of life! So, let us thrive on and work for the best in the upcoming event~ All the best for all our end of year exams!!! John@ Deninth at 8:30 PM

Monday, September 10, 2007 Above are some pictures of our success in the recent bible quiz. I think this succes came with a pleasent surprise to everyone especially to those who were present on that day. Kudos to the 2 groups who had put in much effort in preparation for this competition. Always remember that we went into the competition as 1, BB 9th singapore company, not as 2 different groups :) Amidst all our celebration of the sweet victory, lets not forget to really acknowledge and give credits to all who made this happened. First group will be the instructors who spent so much effort and time to prepare the 2 groups for the competiton. They are mainly Mr Lim, Mr Wong, Mr Lui, Pastor Fu Man, Melvin and people from COGS. Of course credits to the 2 groups of boys who also spent effort and time to get themselves prepared for the competition. This 2 groups of boys includes John, Ricardo, Stanley Yin, Stanley Khor, Jian Zhong, Royston, Yi Jie, Teck Siang, Aloysius and Leon. Lastly, lets not forget God who had really blessed 9th coy throughout the competition. In the movie, Facing the Giants that we watched during the lifeskill camp, the coach said this, "WHEN WE WIN, WE PRAISE HIM, WHEN WE LOSE, WE PRAISE HIM!" I think this is one such occasion that we must really give thanks to God for the success. Personally, i think what makes us a champion other then getting the trophy and first in the competition, is to understand and fulfill the real meaning behind the bible quiz. The theme for this year's BQ is HEROS OF FAITH. Prior to gaining the recognition or trophy, i think what defines a real success also includes having all who participated to really understand the heros in the bible and hopefully to apply what they learn into their own lives in the future! Let us also see this success from BQ as a form of encouragement from God and continue to work hard for future competitions! With the Drill competition coming up next, lets work hard and try to gain another trophy for 9th coy!! Anyway, WELL DONE guys for bible quiz and ALL THE BEST for drill competition!!!
